Anderson Lloyd House is a six storey commercial building located in the heart of Christchurch's CBD, providing approximately 5,000m² of office and retail space. Completed as part of the city's post earthquake rebuild, the project has become a well recognised feature within the central city.

The design sought to create a contemporary and enduring commercial building that would sit confidently within Christchurch's evolving urban landscape. Clean lines, strong geometric forms and carefully considered proportions combine to create a building that is both distinctive and timeless in its expression.

Recessed elements within the façade introduce depth, shadow and visual interest while allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the interior spaces. These architectural moves help to break down the scale of the building and create a more engaging relationship with the surrounding streetscape.

A strong emphasis was placed on creating flexible, light filled workspaces that promote occupant wellbeing and adaptability over time. Resilience and performance were key drivers throughout the design process, resulting in a building that balances architectural expression with practical functionality.

The completed development provides a refined commercial environment that contributes positively to Christchurch's ongoing regeneration and reflects the confidence and ambition of the city's rebuild.
