Caldera Estate

Set amidst one of New Zealand’s most breathtaking landscapes, the new cellar door building is designed to fully embrace its surroundings. Expansive glazed façades frame sweeping views across the vineyard, over the Akaroa township, and out to the picturesque bays of the Port Hills.

The architectural response is shaped by the site's challenging topography. A striking precast concrete wall defines the entrance, guiding visitors into the main restaurant where panoramic vistas unfold from within.

Beneath the main restaurant, a boutique private dining room opens directly into the lush landscape, offering an intimate connection to the natural beauty that surrounds it.
